North End Fire Relief Fund
The Khyber Centre for the Arts has set up a relief fund to aid those
affected by the devastating fire on February 26, 2003 in Halifax's north
end.
The fire ravaged half a city block destroying many apartments. The Fire
department managed to evacuate the tenants of all of the apartments and
thankfully nobody was hurt. However, many people lost their homes and all of
their belongings. As renters most of the tenants were without home
insurance leaving them with literally nothing. The North End Fire Fund will
help those affected, many of whom are Khyber members, to re-establish
themselves.
An account has been set up at the Royal Bank to accept donations.
The account number is 1021195, transit 0003.
Donations can be made at any Royal Bank branch.
Please specify North End Fire Relief Fund.
